Embedded ethernet access for BASIC-Tiger multitasking computer
The EM01/EM03 adapter gives your projects a fast and stable access to the Ethernet.
It enables a connection of BASIC-Tiger modules to the 10 MBit Ethernet and makes following protocols available:
ARP, IP, TCP, DHCP, DNS, POP, UPD, SNTP

like data transfer through Ethernet, an embedded webserver/client or
connection to the Internet via TCP/IP router can be easy and quick

The adapter possesses a local buffer, handles the complete
communication with the Ethernet and autonomously executes the protocol
layers ARP, IP, TCP, DHCP, DNS, POP, UPD und SNTP. A high transmission
bandwidth while simultaneously reducing the workload of the BASIC Tiger
is significant for the efficiency of this adapter.
Furthermore
the intelligent Ethernet lock-on per adapter provides a high runtime
stability, as all time-critical jobs - including handling disturbances
and exceptions - are completely relocated into the Ethernet adapter.
The
Ethernet adapter is capable of opening up to 8 sockets simultaneously
and can be operated as client and also as server. When operating as
server you can e.g. access a device easily through a there deposited
web site.
With its dimesions of only 3.9 x 2.8 x 1.0 cm, a
weight of 19 gr. and 28-pin DIP type module chassis there is room for
the Ethernet module everywhere. The chip is supplied with 5V DC. The
computer interface is a asynchronous serial connection, which is
designed 3V / 5V compatible.
